Dinner Meeting

As an Organizer for the Northern California Farmworkers Union, Juan Garcia sees firsthand, the most immediate impacts of the new administration’s immigration policy on California’s immigrant farmworkers. Equally as devastating, is the impact on the state’s agricultural industry, as a whole. He will speak to
what is happening now and give some insight into preparations for what is likely to come in future months.

Prior to joining the UFW, Mr. Garcia helped to promote the Affordable Care Act in Arkansas and he organized and trained Nevadans in caucus procedure and participation.
Please note: The Membership will be asked to vote on whether we support the ordinance or not, following the presentation.
