Our monthly dinner meetings give Democrats and Progressive individuals a place to talk politics. You don't need to be a policy expert just come and learn from peers, trade jokes, and hang out in an environment where it's not taboo to talk politics. We typically have a speaker each month and our programs are always FREE. There is an optional full dinner available for the nominal fee of $15 ($20 for non-members). The dinner is always cooked on site and includes appetizers, beverage, side dish, and dessert.

Director of the Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review & Outreach (IOLERO)
In March 2016, Jerry Threet, a licensed attorney since 1988, was unanimously selected by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors to be the first Director of the new Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review and Outreach also known as IOLERO. Its charge is conduct independent reviews of investigations alleging law enforcement misconduct, including excessive use of force, and to engage the community in the review and possible recommendation of policy changes to the Sheriff’s Office and the Board of Supervisors. In addition to developing a new office, Mr. Threet, along with the Community Advisory Council and Sheriff’s Department staff, developed policy recommendations concerning the department’s cooperation with ICE. This year the policies concerning use of force are being reviewed.
