June Dinner Meeting June 27, 2018
Our monthly dinner meetings give Democrats and Progressive individuals a place to talk politics. You don't need to be a policy expert just come and learn from peers, trade jokes, and hang out in an environment where it's not taboo to talk politics. We typically have a speaker each month and our programs are always FREE. There is an optional full dinner available for the nominal fee of $15 ($20 for non-members). The dinner is always cooked on site and includes appetizers, beverage, side dish, and dessert.

Santa Rosa Vice Mayor Chris Rogers
SRDC welcomes, with great pleasure, Santa Rosa’s Vice Mayor as this month’s guest speaker. With deep roots in Sonoma County, graduating from Rancho Cotati High School, attending Sonoma State University, and then UC Santa Barbara, Chris has shown that his passion for politics is all about serving his constituents—his community. Previously, he served in numerous positions in both the State Capitol and in Washington, including as both campaign and legislative staff for CA State Senators Pat Wiggins and Mike McGuire, as well as for Assemblyman Michael Allen and Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the city council.
Elected to the Santa Rosa City Council in November of 2016, Chris was elected Vice Mayor for 2018. He serves on the following committees: Santa Rosa's Build and Rebuild subcommittee, Joint City-
County post-fire recovery ad hoc committee, Long-term Financial Policy and Audit committee, Cannabis committee, Sonoma Clean Power, Mayors and Councilmembers legislative task force, League of Cities Environmental Quality committee. We look forward to hearing about the work he is doing for our city.
